Hi Pastor Wilkens!

I just want to thank you so much for coming to speak at WWU. (I was right in front of you in a red sweater during the part that went on until 11pm)

I recieved a tremendous spiritual blessing because of it, as well as a better awareness for what's really going on outside this campus. I heard you speak at the Pleasant Valley church in Boring, OR back when I was in high school. I really needed vespers tonight due to homework fatigue, haha, and I was so excited to hear that you were coming this weekend to WWU!

Thanks again, and may God richly bless your ministry! :-D

Blessings,

Brenna N.

Pastor Carl,
Teresa e-mailed me and told me to check your blog. I am so very glad I did! We miss you all of course! Knowing what good you are doing and looking so forward to your book kind of makes up for it! Soon it will be 3 years since you baptized me and what a difference it's made in my life.

Thank you so much for all you and Teresa, have done for all of us at Milo. The ones that are here now and all the students and staff that have moved on with their lives in the years your family were with us. We Love You!

When school started back this week I spoke to several of the students that were here last year and told them you were writing a book. The students all want to know when you finish it so they can get one! I told them I would let them know.
They are looking forward to your book like the rest of us that know you and love you and your endearing family. Prayers and Blessings To You And Them, With All Our Hearts,

Carl, to bad we missed you on the way to the wedding. Geoff and I played "Ten Thousand" with Todd, "this is good" (remember).
I Didn't expect to see Shawn and Lisa, what a joy!
Leaving to Montemorelos, Mexico the 16th, in a few days, a new beginning to a beginnings end.

Slug-bug, red.

I'm glad you're sharing your heart and experiences, Carl. Thank you for your passion and courage.

They say it takes a lot of 'good for you' and hugs to outweigh a negative judgmental comment or action.

Perhaps this is why you need to share your story, your beliefs, your journey - over and over and over. Maybe the universe needs to hear the love and message of social responsibility many, many times to balance out the violence and hatred most people observe on the news, at work, even in their own homes.

Huge hugs to you and Teresa. That poster from the '70s.."Will it matter that I was?" gets a resounding YES when it is asked about you.

Rom <--- who loved you when you were nine and loves you still!!
